Akond – Local Infrastructure for Global Blockchain Operations

The Problem

Akond needed a reliable, modern hosting environment to support its blockchain validation servers, but its existing infrastructure was holding it back. Outdated processors limited performance, and the administrative interface made server access difficult. Frequent connectivity issues also threatened uptime, putting operational continuity at risk.

At the same time, Akond wanted to keep its infrastructure based on the Isle of Man and work with a local provider that aligned with its values.

What We Did

We worked closely with Akond to understand the technical and operational requirements of its validation infrastructure. After hosting an on-site datacentre tour and consultation, we designed and delivered a tailored solution.

We deployed a Metal-as-a-Service platform built on three high-spec servers with NVMe storage to maximise IOPS and performance. We configured the environment with RAID for resilience, enabling fast backups and rapid recovery.

We prioritised network reliability to ensure always-on connectivity and maximum uptime. In addition, we supported Akond with web traffic forwarding from akon.co to akon.co.uk and provided responsive, hands-on support throughout the project.
