The Problem

Isle of Man Creamery was operating on ageing on premises infrastructure when a critical disk failure exposed a serious risk to both production and compliance. Key manufacturing systems depended on unreliable hardware which meant any failure had immediate operational impact.

At the same time a small internal IT team was responsible for managing a complex and business critical environment. Network performance issues including Wi-Fi black spots were already affecting day to day operations and there was no resilience in place to prevent disruption.

What We Did

Domicilium responded immediately to stabilise the situation rebuilding the RAID and restoring systems to prevent data loss and production downtime. This rapid intervention established a foundation of trust and allowed us to take full ownership of the environment.

We assumed responsibility for managing the network and infrastructure removing the burden from the internal team. A full site survey identified coverage gaps and performance issues which were resolved through a redesigned network and an upgrade to high-capacity fibre connectivity.

The infrastructure was then migrated onto Domicilium’s Private Managed Cloud removing reliance on on site hardware and improving both performance and resilience. To complete the solution, we implemented managed backup services and wrapped everything in 24 x 7 proactive monitoring and support.
